Well, this week wound up being just slightly less sane than I'd anticipated. For those not in the know, there's some trouble going down in Iran. I place the possibility of forged elections results aside, because that isn't my main concern - although it is concerning - but the government's reaction to the protesters, particularly the actions of the paramilitary Basiji, have made me, along with most other globally aware citizens, worried.

So, instead of doing all that writing and site design that I'd planned to do, I spent most of my time reading news and compiling it together, as best I could, into a link list on my Myspace blog, viewable here. If you haven't been keeping up on the news out of Iran, I suggest giving it a look-over and getting acquainted with the situation.

Otherwise, the best I have to offer today is the first part of Naia's Tower, uploaded and ready for reading. I'm half-committed to doing a weekly schedule with it; only half, because I've found that my writing voice has changed since I'd started with it, and it may take me some time to get back in flow. Similarly, I'm delaying the next release of Ephemera; I may choose to do a total rewrite up to the current chapter, in which case, the new chapter will also wait for a rewrite.

Lionmane, however, I expect to be finished with in the next week, and will post immediately upon its completion. Just so I'm not a total bum. :)

Will be working on the web redesign as I can. I tracked down a nifty HTML comment box that I'll be tacking on the end of new posts, and as I do rewrites, old ones as well. It really helps me out to hear back from readers, so if you have a few seconds after reading a piece, please let me know what you think!

Thank you, as always, for reading!

I HAVE SURVIVED ANOTHER TERM OF SCHOOL. I AM PLEASANTLY SURPRISED. AND ALSO CURRENTLY MONOTONE.

Okay seriously, I have one week off before the start of the summer term, so I'm trying to decide how much I can get done in that time. To give you an idea of my to-do list for this site:

  • Total revamp of background image, story layout, color scheme.
  • Edit and publish the next chapter of Ephemera.
  • Edit and publish the first chapter of Tower.
  • Write and publish a short story called Lionmane.
  • New character art for Azrael and Emiree, plus any others I can get done.

Which isn't even touching all the stuff that needs doing off-site, of course, and the comic scripts I'm fleshing out (up to two now; PsychoActive and Sotapatos).

I'm going to eliminate publishing schedules for the moment, since there's no logic to keep them going for a week. Better to see what I can do than to try and measure it before it happens, at this rate.

As always, thanks to everyone for reading, and I look forward to the next update!

Sorry folks; my laptop busted, school started, and everything is officially going on hiatus until I can work out some sort of sanity in my life again. I'll be doing some private writing work, and might use this site for some scraps for ongoing projects - until that time, my apologies again. Hopefully I'll get to write more on Ephemera someday, or else bring a new project!
